Our Work

Quality craftsmanship to excite the ear and eye

A little excitement...

On Sunday, July 24, a vehicle crashed into our warehouse where electric service enters the building and left us without power. Thankfully, the building was empty and no one was hurt. We are working to repair the building and restore power, but until further notice, we will be working remotely.  All methods of contact are still functional, so please call or email us as usual, just understand that responses may be slightly delayed!  We will keep this page updated as things progress.

Berghaus Pipe Organ Builders is hiring!

We have immediate openings within our service department. Berghaus has been in business for over 55 years and is located in Bellwood, Illinois. In addition to building new pipe organs, we undertake restorations, refurbishments, cleanings, and maintain a large roster of service clients throughout the region.

Successful applicants will have skills that include: tuning, leatherwork, basic woodworking, basic electrical, and an overall mechanical aptitude. Preference may be given to those with prior organ building experience, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Travel throughout the Midwest is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

If you are interested in joining our friendly and collegial team, please send your resume to or give us a call!

Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we were honored to complete a new organ in the Fall of 2020 for Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Wichita, Kansas. This 3 manual and 31 rank instrument utilizes some resources of the existing Kilgen and was commissioned as part of a large sanctuary renovation.

We are delighted to welcome Pastor Drew Heiman, Music Director Rachel Dugan, and everyone at Blessed Sacrament into the Berghaus Family.
