In 1902, St. Paul's commissioned Bennett Organ Co. to build a large three manual instrument. The organ, along with many other church furnishings, were paid for by parishioner Clem Studebaker. Several decades of material decline and poor modifications left the instrument unplayable by 2016. Berghaus was commissioned to build a new instrument retaining the historic casework and a majority of the vintage Bennett pipework. One new rank was added to the Choir and the entire internal layout and mechanism was created anew. A new movable drawknob console, with a Peterson ICS-4000 control system, was also constructed in the style of the original. During the project, the existing facade pipes were stripped, gilded, and sealed.
