In 1986 Len received the contract to re-build the large Schlicker organ at Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, Illinois – incorporating many existing pipes from the original 1934 Skinner.  With Bunjes as consultant, the organ was re-configured to house pipework on slider windchests. 

 

Ranks were re-scaled and re-voiced to provide an organ well suited for Lutheran high liturgy as well as the vast majority of organ repertoire.  The Berghaus style had been synthesized with warmth – speaking into a favorable acoustic.
